| AUTOMOTIVE ART by DSALNI |
| I first came across Dennis Salnikov's artwork over on the Japanese Nostalgic Car forum and I fell in love with it instantly. The guy has an eye for cars, and he does a great job of modding them out with taste. Dennis, otherwise known as Dsalni, also has a blog where you can follow his latest endeavors - DSALNI's BLOG. Dennis has done two illustrations for me - one of my 1977 Celica GT liftback (above), and one for the Toyopet Crown Registry (see below). If you'd like to have him make an illustration of your car, read on, and then contact him using the links below. Scroll on down to see a gallery of some of Dsalni's samples. Dennis writes: What I have to offer is personalized sketches or renderings of people's cars. The style is obviously cartoonish, but can be dialed back to a more serious attitude if desired. You tell me what you want: which angle, view, color, wheels, modifications, etc, etc, etc. It can be your car the way it is right now, or tell me how you envision your car in your head - your dream ride - and I'll produce a 2d version of it. Basically, its all up to you, just spell it out. What you get can vary from a super simple avatar sketch, or a digital copy emailed to you, or even an 8x10, or 18x24 print. Additional sizes are also available. Matting is also an option. Once again, you decide. You have two options when it comes to the level of detail - simple and detailed. A 50% deposit is required for me to start working on your request. I'll provide "in progress" screen captures, so you can see where I'm at, and how the car/cars are looking. The reason I provide in-progress updates, is so you can see how the illustration is turning out. You can always request for some changes to be made, but please don't wait till the last minute! For example, asking to change the car's proportions once the illustration is finished is a bit unfair, since the in-progress samples are more than enough to see whats going on proportion-wise. Pricing is somewhat negotiable if you're interested in more than one sketch. A view showing front and back, or two angles of a car, is obviously 2 cars. If you have ANY questions, don't hesitate to ask! ~ Dennis |
